Junior Azure Data Engineer

As an Azure Data Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our clients and cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale Cloud Data Warehouse (DWH) and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. You will play a key role in supporting operational, tactical, and strategic reporting, as well as other analytical business needs. Your responsibilities will span the entire delivery lifecycle, from gathering business requirements to designing, developing, testing, and rolling out solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering: Participate in workshops with client stakeholders to validate business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Solution Design: Design and implement BI/DWH applications to meet the Business Intelligence and reporting needs of large organizations, utilizing Azure Cloud technology platforms.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze business areas, understand source systems’ data, and map them to the DWH data model.
  • ETL Development: Design, build, test, and deploy advanced ETL processes to move and transform enterprise data efficiently.
  • Best Practices: Define and promote best practices, standards, and optimization techniques to enhance DWH/BI solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead development teams throughout the delivery of Cloud BI/DWH solutions (for experienced candidates).
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of BI/DWH solutions with other systems and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of working experience in DWH/BI projects, preferably in the Banking or Insurance industry.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Data Management and Data Warehousing concepts, including ETL, OLAP, Dimensional Modeling, and Data Marts.
  • Azure Knowledge: Familiarity with Azure Data platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Azure Analysis Services.
  • Data Visualization: Knowledge of Data Visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to meet deadlines with high attention to detail and quality.
